Isuzu FA Vase First and Second Round Qualifying Draws
Fri 4th July 2025 | FA Challenge Vase | By Media Team
The FA have today released the draw details for the First and Second Round Qualifying of the 2025/26 Isuzu FA Vase.
Sixty of our member Clubs have entered this year's competition and 40 of those will start from the very beginning on 23rd August. There are just six all-NWCFL ties with the pick of those likely being Fulwood Amateurs making their competition debut with a derby clash against their neighbours just down the M55 in AFC Blackpool. Another is MSB Woolton's first action in a national competition, which comes at Burscough's Community Stadium.
Telford Town's first FA Vase match since rebranding last year will see them make the near-hundred-mile round-trip east to South Derbyshire to take on Gresley Rovers. Haughmond's first Vase tie as a NWCFL club sees them face familiar faces with a trip to fellow First Division South side Market Drayton Town.
The Vase always throws up some sides that are playing against NWCFL sides for the first time, and there are six sides who our member clubs have not faced before. Steeton face a trip to Chester-le-Street to face Park View AFC, whilst Garstang face another Northern League side in Prudhoe Youth Club Seniors at home. Maine Road travel to Crowle Colts, Barnton travel to South Leeds whilst Abbey Hey entertain Doncaster City. All three of those NCEL sides will be making their Vase debuts. The final tie sees Alsager Town host Redditch Borough, the Hellenic League side playing in their first Vase campaign for nine seasons.
The competition is always a chance to re-connect with some clubs that have left us and there is one such tie. Prestwich Heys will take on the Midland League's 1874 Northwich for the first time since they met at the same stage of the cup in August 2019, when 1874 were still a member of our Premier Division.
The draw including our sides can be found below:

Eccleshall will be at home in the Second Round Qualifying against former NWCFL side Stone Old Alleynians, whilst four other sides also knowing their opponents already.
There is a lot of either/or in this draw, including the winner of the Wythenshawe v Cheadle Heath Nomads clash facing a trip to New Mills' Church Lane and Irlam welcoming the victors of Glossop North End v Bacup Borough in the other two ties that guarantee additional NWCFL representation in the First Round Proper.
One of our member Clubs will visit 'The World's First Football Club' as Sheffield await the winners of the Burscough v MSB Woolton tie - this will be the first time a NWCFL club has played at the Home of Football Stadium since Litherland REMYCA's 2-1 defeat there in the FA Cup way back in August 2019.
