The North West Counties Football League Limited is delighted to announce that Chris Stirrup has been appointed as the new Chairman of the League.
As one of the original Directors of the League since becoming a Limited Company in June 2018, Chris has served on the Management Committee since his appointment in 2016. He is the league's Ground Safety Officer, and also served on the Discipline Committee.
Chris replaces the outgoing Paul Lawler, who officially stood down from the position following the AGM after announcing his decision the previous year. Paul has been elected as the League President.
Chris also represents AFC Liverpool where he has been their Club Chairman since the 2008/09 season. In his day to day role, he runs his own printing and embroidery business.
Speaking of his appointment, Chris said "I am honoured to accept this opportunity to lead the Board and NWCFL Officers team. The NWCFL is dear to my heart and it promises to be a challenging period with licencing on the horizon and the ever changing boundaries we find ourselves having to deal with.
"We have a great set of clubs in the league, all of who are as determined as myself to drive the league forward. I look forward to working with them over the next few years and making the NWCFL the best league that we possibly can."
