Weekend 11 in the NWCFL saw a rain affected schedule in the NWCFL Premier Division and both First Divisions, with ten games postponed due to the after effects of Storm Amy.
Premier Division
With the top two of Padiham and Ramsbottom United both called off against Litherland REMYCA and Prestwich Heys, West Didsbury & Chorlton were the big winners in the Premier Division, their 3-0 victory over Longridge Town lifting them to third place in the table. All goals came in the first half, with Brandon Dawson grabbing a brace and Lewis Billingsley getting the other from the spot.
Fourth placed Wythenshawe also saw their games postponed, with Atherton LR and Irlam level on points in fifth and sixth after both picked up 3-0 victories over AFC Liverpool and Stockport Town respectively.
Chadderton also won 3-0, that coming at Glossop North End with Benito Lower scoring twice. Cheadle Town came from behind at half time to win 2-1 at Pilkington. Burscough picked up local bragging rights with a 2-1 win over tenants City of Liverpool. And Euxton Villa also won 2-1 after trailling 1-0 at the break.
The game between Charnock Richard and FC St Helens was also postponed.
First Division North
Leaders Droylsden were thankful for a late, late equaliser to take home a point after drawing 3-3 at Thornton Cleveleys. The Bloods took an early lead through Kyle Campbell with Jackson Bateman quickly levelling matters. Oliver Wilkinson then put Thornton ahead before Daniel Storey further increased the lead. Nsllson Van made it 3-2, before in the sixth minute of stoppage time, Cody Artwell rescued a point.
They are now three points clear after second placed Maghull went down 5-2 at Darwen. The Merseysiders took an early lead before the home side turned things around to lead 2-1 at the break. Three goals in seven minutes midway through the second half made it 5-1 with Maghull adding what proved a consolation.
The only other winners were Bacup Borough who won 1-0 at Maine Road, the only goal of the game coming just before the break. The other six games in the division were all postponed.
First Division South
The South fared much better weather-wise with just one postponement, and it was leaders Runcorn Town who were celebrating after running out 5-1 winners at home to Foley Meir. Matty Vickers and Tom Ruffer both scored twice for Runcorn, with Connor Spiers adding the other. An own goal at 3-0 proved just a consolation for Foley.
Runcorn are now three points clear with second place Telford Town losing 1-0 at Eccleshall. Stockport Georgians beat Sandbach United 4-0 to move third, with Barnton up to fourth after a 3-0 win at Shawbury United, Ryan Jackson scoring twice. Stafford Town are fifth after a 3-3 draw at Market Drayton Town, the home side scoring three minutes into stoppage time to salvage a point.
Alsager Town had the biggest win of the day with Daniel Guiver scoring a hat-trick in a 6-0 win at Wolverhampton Sporting Community. Allscott Heath came from behind at half time to beat Haughmond, whilst New Mills scored a 95th minute leveller in a 1-1 draw at home to Cammell Laird 1907.
