The North West Counties Football League can today confirm that both Litherland REMYCA and Maine Road have been repreived from relegation.
REMYCA finished 23rd in the Premier Division last season and as a result were relegated and duly allocated to the First Division North for season 2026/27, whilst Maine Road finished 18th in the First Division North and were therefore relegated to the County Feeder Leagues.
Following Pilkington's withdrawal from the Premier Division, the FA Leagues Committee have elected to repreive both clubs, meaning the Premier Division will run with 20 clubs and the First Division North with 22 clubs. The First Division South remains unchanged following these repreives and will consist of 20 clubs.
The constitution of each of our divisions will be ratified at the League AGM on Saturday 20th June.
