NWCFL Premier Division side Squires Gate have just confirmed the appointment of Luke Evans as new First Team Manager.
Luke Evans joins from AFC Darwen in the NWCFL First Division where he held a similar role.
A statement from the club says, "A Blackpool native, Evans lists Wyre Villa, Ashton Athletic, Lancaster City and AFC Darwen as his former club’s.
Club Secretary John Maguire said on the appointment "We are delighted to announce Luke Evans as our manager. We identified him as the man to take Squires Gate Football Club forward as we look forward to a new and exciting era."
We caught up with Luke very briefly to get his thoughts on joining the club "I am delighted to accept the First Team Manager's job at Squires Gate. I feel that the club has great potential to get back up the leagues where it should be."
Evans' first game in charge is on Saturday when they face an away trip to Avro.
