Charnock Richard shot-stopper Callum Jakovlevs has very deservedly collected the joint Premier Reusch Goalkeeper of the Year Award.
With 11 clean sheets for the Lancashire club since joining in October from Wythenshawe Town, the two-time Goalkeeper of the Month award winner helped his side finish fourth in the Premier and win the Macron Cup.
Reacting to his win, Jakovlevs was quick to lay out his ambitions for next season, saying,
"It’s great winning the award this year, especially with the standard of keeper in the league this season.
"The season went well in a lot of ways for me. I was unfortunate to miss the end of season through injury but looking forward to get back on the pitch soon!
"My ambitions for next season is really to carry on where we left off and hopefully go make a big push for promotion after missing out last season on the last day. With the quality we have there is no reason why not!
