Holker Old Boys First Division North Club of the Month Awards

Holker Old Boys have been presented with their Club of the Month award for their wins in November 2022 and December 2022. 

Numerous postponements over the period meant that League Committee Member Glyn Jones could not get up to Holker until their recent game with Atherton LR, their first home game for seven weeks! There he presented both awards to Manager Jimmy Marshall at a recent game to present them with the award on behalf of the club.

The Club of the Month in the First Division North was a close run thing with Holker just pipping FC St Helens to the award.

Holker had two 1-0 away wins in the league at Runcorn Town and Darwen. Sandwiched between them was a 3-1 home win against Premier Division side FC Isle of Man. The month was rounded off with a home draw against Steeton, that giving them 14 points from their four games for a 3.5 average.

For December they were quite a bit above other teams in the division, with many ruled out by not playing three games in the month. They started with a tremendous 4-2 win over Premier Division side Squires Gate in the Isuzu FA Vase at the start of the month. This was followed by a loss at Euxton Villa but they bounced back in the third game to record a Boxing Day win at Cleator Moor Celtic 4-2.

That giving them 9 points from their 3 games for a 3.0 average.
