Premier Division Winsford United have started their preparation for the Summer and the new season by seeing in changes at the top of the club. Ray Duckworth has stepped down from the role but remains on the clubs Board. The club have released the following statement today.
“Ray Duckworth has decided to stand down as chairman after seven years in the position. Ray will still be a board member but can no longer commit the required for this role due to personal reasons.”
“Ray has navigated the club through tricky times and his hard work around the place has been for all to see. The club continues to owe him immense gratitude for the voluntary work.”
“In the interim, Anthony Duckworth will take up the role of Club Chairman. Anthony has also been with the club for seven years and was finance director for the first five and has been commercial director. This last two years. Anthony is a logistical contract manager for a Fortune 500 company in his occupation. As the club looks to continue with its progression there will be further opportunities for people to assist and join with the running of the club.
