League Milestones and Statistics: Saturday, 14th February 2026

 

Overall Stats:

  • Ashville’s first goal in the 2-2 draw with Barnton was their 200th in the NWCFL; it was also Barnton's 800th goal conceded.
  • Cheadle Town’s midweek defeat at Ramsbottom was their 650th league loss.
  • Darwen conceded their 1,200th goal as they beat Daisy Hill 3-2. This game also saw Daisy Hill concede their 1,750th away goal.
  • Steeton conceded their 500th goal in their defeat Droylsden.

 

Home Stats:

  • AFC Liverpool conceded their 550th home goal in the midweek defeat to Atherton LR.
  • Maghull scored their 550th goal in their win against Holker Old Boys.
  • Squires Gate recorded their 250th home win against Ashton Town.

 

Away Stats:

  • Stockport Georgians scored their 100th away goal as they beat Stafford Town 6-4.

 

Goal Heroes:

  • Oliver McFadyen, of Stockport Georgians, had an amazing week, starting with FIVE against Haughmond on Tuesday night, then FOUR against Stafford Town, putting his side into a play-off place.
  • Cody Artwell hit a superb FOUR for Droylsden in their win at Steeton.
  • Joel Ankers scored three of Wythenshawe’s six against Pilkington.

 

General Stats:

  • Runcorn Town beat Stafford Town 6-1; a scoreline they last recorded in August 2017 – 348 games ago! They beat Northwich Victoria that day.
  • Burscough won 4-0 at home on Saturday: their first 4-0 since they beat Runcorn Town in December 2018.

 

Player Appearance Stats:

  • Gareth Smith became the third player (since 2007) to reach 500 league and cup games whilst playing in the NWCFL. He joins Andrew Jones of Cheadle Heath Nomads (520) and Louis Edwards of Garstang (540).
  • Reaching 400 games this season: Saul Henderson (401) and Callum Jakovlevs (416) of New Mills; Josh Tinker, of Prestwich Heys (432); and Jack Warren, of Eccleshall (417).

 

Goal Scorers:

  • Saul Henderson is the leading scorer among our active players – he has 194 goals, which puts him fifth in our post-2007 records, behind Carl Grimshaw (228), Craig Cairns (211), Ryan Cox (209) and Scott McGowan (204).
  • Second on our current player table is Jack Coop, of Maine Road (152); followed by Joel Brownhill, of Padiham (147); and Dean Ing, of Squires Gate (142).
