League Milestones and Statistics: Saturday, March 28th, 2026.

 

Overall Stats:

  • Abbey Hey scored their 1,650th goal in their draw at Litherland REMYCA.
  • AFC Blackpool’s win at Bacup Borough was their 1,550th NWCFL fixture.
  • Maine Road clocked up 1,500 games on Saturday, against Steeton.
  • Glossop North End reached 1,450 games in the league with their 1-1 against Euxton Villa.
  • Barnoldswick Town conceded their 1,200th goal as they were beaten at Burscough
  • Garstang conceded their 550th goal in their defeat against Maghull.
  • Droylsden’s 1-1 draw away at Squires Gate was their 50th drawn game.

 

Home Stats:

  • Bacup Borough’s defeat against AFC Blackpool was their 800th home game: the most by any team in the league’s history.
  • Burscough scored their 900th goal and conceded their 650th in their victory against Barnoldswick Town.
  • FC Isle of Man scored their 200th home goal with their win against City of Liverpool.

 

Away Stats:

  • Market Drayton’s defeat at Ashville was their 50th away fixture.

 

Goal Heroes:

  • Elliot Taylor hit three of AFC Liverpool’s four as they beat West Didsbury & Chorlton on Saturday – that’s his second hat-trick of the month!
  • Jordan Darr hit his third hat-trick of the season for Charnock Richard as they won 4-0 against South Liverpool.
  • Lewis Gartland scored three of Steeton’s five as they beat Maine Road on Saturday.

 

General Stats:

  • Barnton suffered their first 4-2 defeat since September 2019 – they were last beaten by this scoreline by Abbey Hey.

 

Managers Records:

  • Matty Atherton reached 250 games in charge of Euxton Villa with their 1-1 draw at Glossop North End.
    • He took over at the start of the 2019/20 season, with the club playing in the West Lancashire League. They gained promotion to the NWCFL for the 2021/22 season and moved up to the Premier Division at the start of this season. From 250 games, he has managed 115 wins, 80 draws and 85 defeats, and two promotions – very impressive!
