We were delighted to catch up recently with the Reusch UK Premier Division Goalkeeper of the Month award winner for November 2024.
Bury Goalkeeper Mitch Allen received the award from League Director Ian Williams who carried out the presentation on behalf of the League and our sponsors Reusch UK. He recieves a pair of Goalkeeper Gloves from one of Reuch UK's leading range of Goalkeeper products.
The ex-Stoke City stopper joined his home side Bury in August having spent the last four seasons at Prescot Cables. Whilst there he helped Cables to promotion last season in a campaign that saw him named as the NPL West Goalkeeper of the Season.
November saw Mitch play seven games in which he kept three clean sheets and conceded just eight goals to help Bury firmly cement their promotion ambitions.
The first two games of the month were at home, Mitch keeping a clean sheet against Pilkington before a 1-1 draw with FC St Helens. A second clean sheet then came in a 2-0 win at AFC Liverpool
Another two home games followed in a 1-1 draw with Charnock Richard before an 8-0 home win against Longridge Town.
The sixth game of the month for Mitch saw Bury crash to a 4-3 loss at Lower Breck before rounding off the month with a 4-2 win at Burscough, Mitch claiming an assist for DJ Pedro to open in the scoring in this match.
Congratulations to Mitch on his Award!
